Research on the effectiveness of creation and use of electronic information resources of libraries. In the course of the study, secondary information on the topic of research was analyzed, foreign experience on the issue under study was studied, a terminological analysis of the concepts of "efficiency", "quality", "criterion", "indicator" was carried out; analyzed, summarized and systematized the existing methods of assessment, which make it possible to measure the quality and efficiency of the library in the creation and use of electronic information resources (EIR); the activity of the libraries of Belarus on the creation and use of EIR is analyzed. Criteria and indicators for evaluating the effectiveness of the creation and use of EIR libraries have been developed. With the help of the developed system of indicators, an assessment was made of the activities of the National Library of Belarus in the creation and use of databases of its own generation. As a result of the study, methodological recommendations have been developed that will allow libraries to more efficiently use material, financial and labor resources in the creation and use of EIR.
