The book presents the memoirs of my father, Joseph Vasilyevich Timoshenko, about the beginning of the war, Nazi captivity and escape from the Vladimir-Volyn camp for captured officers. Unfortunately, he did not have time to finish recording. In 1978 he died. The appendix contains articles from newspapers about his post-war activities, which have been preserved in our home.
