The Czechoslovakian (Hussite) Church was the second largest Czech church for most of the 20th century and remains one of the most important religious organizations. In many ways it is unique. Its formation a century ago marked the greatest ecclesial schism within a single national community since the Reformation, and the church has undergone and continues to undergo a complex and thought-provoking search for theological and spiritual identity.
