Information is provided about emergencies in Ukraine from ancient times to the present. Considerable attention is paid to the most large-scale events: World War II, the Chornobyl disaster, the Covid-19 pandemic, the Russian-Ukrainian war. Emergency situations related to the natural environment are described: earthquakes, storms, floods, etc. Man-made emergencies are considered, in particular, various accidents and disasters: in construction, transport, in utilities, as well as in the armed forces. The course of social upheavals is highlighted.
