In the monograph the main attention is paid to the election campaigns for the I, II, III, IV Russian State Dumas, Constituent Assembly and local authorities in 1905-1917, Nizhnyi-Novgorod data systematized and published for the first time. The mechanism of election, constituency make-up, different devices of electoral campaigns are studied. Constitutional Democrats' activity is considered along with Nizhnyi-Novgorod region's political history at the beginning of the XXth century.
