Collection of works of prodigal son in Ukrainian literature. Stephan had to leave the fatherland and his biography reminds that of Edgar Po to some extent. His first collection was published not in Ukrainian but in Polish. The reader is influenced by descriptions of mysterious buildings and atmoshere as well as by suggestion of different moods. Grabinski's novels are something special not only for ukrainian literature but for the world one. For the reasons given above there was an attempt to rank him among Polish writers.
