Radomir Putnik (January 24, 1847 - May 17, 1917) was a Serb soldier, Minister of the Army, Duke of Vojvodina, Chief of General Staff of the Army of the Kingdom of Serbia in the Balkan Wars (1912-1913) and the First World War. As the main strategist of the Serbian army, Putnik was also the chief architect of the great Serbian victories in the battles on Kumanovo (1912) against the Ottomans, against Bulgaria at Bregalnica (1913), against Austro-Ugar on Cer and Kolubara (1914).
