Inconspicuous but persistent rebels fought for women's rights, trying to apply themselves in art, sports or science. Some of them also used real weapons, but most of them just their voice, their art, their perseverance. And love, love for art, for people, for your country. Some known, others forgotten, but all deserve our attention, because like drops on a stone, step by step, they trod the path of others. Bertha won the Nobel Prize, Ludmila was the first pilot, Sara and Chaviva saved many lives, Libuse designed great toys, Olga was looking for lost children, Helena graduated from the Sorbonne and Zuzana overcame herself and the treacherous English Channel.
Be inspired by the well-known and almost forgotten stories of our exceptional women and girls. The book is complemented by a dictionary of foreign expressions and a clear timeline that will bring closer the complex history of the Czech Republic and Slovakia over the last fifty years and the obstacles that our heroines had to overcome. The book was created in collaboration with more than forty women from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and you will find texts from nine authors and almost thirty illustrators. They too are drops that leave a significant mark.
