The monograph examines the essence and determinants of the development of rural areas. It established regularities and trends of globalization and localization in the public sector. The methodological toolkit for assessing the level of development of rural areas has been defined. The features of the regulation mechanism of the development of rural areas at the local, national, international and supranational levels are revealed. The modern organizational and structural trends of rural development in the context of the formation of a creative, innovative and knowledge-oriented socio-economic system based on the principles of partnership and cooperation are studied. Proposals on strategic directions for stimulating the development of rural areas in the public sector of Ukraine are presented.
