The collection contains proceedings of the International Conference 'Democratic Processes in Central Asia: Experiences and Perspectives' held in Bishkek on 2-4 December, 1997. Representatives of many governmental and non-governmental organizations, political leaders, and scientists from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Russia, the USA and India participated in this work.
