The author of the monograph has managed to collect extensive documentary and critical materials and to cover a numerousness of issues on the history and activities of the Decembrist Movement. In the work the formation of the Decembrist ideology, structure and work of its organizations, tactical foundations and policy documents of the Decembrists and their preparation and carrying out of the revolts on the 14th of December 1825 in Petersburg and during the period from the 29th of December 1825 to the 3d of November in the south of Russia as well as the trial to the Decembrists.
