In this monograph, relations between Cossack people, resident and non-resident peasants are thoroughly examined. The author analyzes social and class relations between these class groups at different stages of the revolution in 1917 and at the beginning of the Civil War in 1918. The work of All-Russian and local Cossack and peasant conferences is also viewed in detail. New archive materials are brought into scientific use.
