The collective monograph presents the results of the research in the project: «Church life in Soviet society in the 1940s–1950s: religious practices of the population in the Kalinin region in the memoirs of „children of war“». Accordingly everyday religiosity is viewed through the prism of perception of the post–revolutionary generation born in the USSR
in 1928–1945 and currently living in the Tver region.
To analyze their religious experience, the survey materials, which contain the sociocultural characteristics of the respondents, reflect personal memories, family traditions, were used. It is shown that in the conditions of the decline of church life, the family acquires the
features of a social link that has sacred meaning: religious life takes place within its limits, religious rituals are performed.
