Amer Kapetanovic is a career diplomat and former journalist. After twenty years of work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including serving in Berlin, he continued his career in the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), a regional intergovernmental organization based in Sarajevo.
He is the author of numerous publications, analyzes and newspaper articles. He published the book Foreign Policy of Bosnia and Herzegovina - Between Challenges and Weaknesses (FES - Buybook, 2004) and edited the publication of the group of authors The Legacy of Peace - Bosnia and Herzegovina 20 Years after the Dayton Peace Agreement (FES, 2015).
