A book of memoirs of Oleg Veklenko, a participant in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident, an artist, professor at the Kharkov State Academy of Design and Arts about his personal feelings experienced during his stay in Chernobyl in May-June 1986. The author talks about the everyday life of the liquidators in the camp near the station, about primitive means of protection and that the realization of the real danger came much later. Sincere stories about those days were written in living language and supplemented by copyright drawings and photographs.
