Olena Hrytsyuk, an architect from Chernihiv, was caught by the war at home, in the midst of her usual affairs and attempts to arrange her personal life. Trying to protect loved ones, somehow organize military life and help people around her, she records everything that happens to her in the besieged city in notes, posts and messages. After the evacuation, these excerpts were compiled into a book that demonstrates how unprepared ordinary people are for war. After all, it is impossible to prepare for this: to face a choice again and again, not knowing whether tomorrow will come, and worrying every second about your life, the lives of loved ones, and even the lives of strangers.
