The monograph is a comprehensive study of the analysis and systematization of the information presented in the manuscript of the scholar-theologian and traveler Azdin Vazar (1395-1460), who visited Chechnya (Simsim) in the first half of the XVth century and compiled a description of the borders of the state, the settlement of Chechen tribes and religious differentiation of the edge. According to the author’s intention, the monograph is a commentary on the content of the manuscript, confirming the originality of the document and the objectivity of the data presented therein. In addition, the monograph reveals the socio-political picture in the Caucasus and the Transcaucasian region during the XIV-XVI centuries.
