The monograph contains a comparative analysis of the lexical-grammatical category of class and the grammatical category of number on the material of the Rutul, Tsakhur and Shahdag languages. An attempt was made to identify Pro-Lezgian heritage in the forbidden territories; distinguish between genetic and territorial characteristics of the inventory of morphological and lexical means of expressing categories of classes and numbers.
