In 1950 by Stalin’s order the world’s recognized science of biology of a cell was replaced by “New (Soviet) Cell Biology”. The author of the “New Theory” was O.B.Lepeshinskaya, who was awarded for this innovation. Numerous scientists gave up their former ideas and began to preach the new theory. Thousands of biologists lost their workplaces and were prosecuted… A great number of charlatans appeared with ridiculous opinions and theories about cells and biology on the whole.
