This tastefully decorated gift edition is devoted to life and creative work of Pieter Bruegel the Elder, a Flemish Renaissance painter and printmaker known for his landscapes and peasant scenes. Claude-Henri Roque, the author of the book reconstructs the "inner biography" of Bruegel hidden in his paintings and drawings. The leather cover of the edition is decorated with self-portrait of the artist. The text is supplemented with illustrations, including the full body of Bruegel’s paintings.
