The Brest Catechism of 1553 is the first book printed on the territory of modern Belarus. In this sense, this edition is the Belarusian first edition. For the first time, a translation of the Brest catechism into Belarusian and English is presented to the reader's attention, accompanied by a facsimile reproduction of the text of the book monument from the 1908 edition, since the original of the Brest catechism has not been preserved. Together with the text of the Brest Catechism, research is presented that reveals the historical and cultural context of its publication.
