A book-album describing the life of people and the functioning of the Baranovichi region - an overview of the economic, social and cultural life of the Baranovichi region. The Baranovichi district is one of the largest producers of agricultural products in the Brest region.
The total land area of the district is 216.8 thousand hectares, of which 95.3 thousand hectares are agricultural lands, including 75.0 thousand hectares of arable land.
The organizational structure of the agro-industrial complex of the district is represented by 1 limited liability company, 1 closed joint-stock company and 11 open joint-stock companies.
The largest of them are OAO "Ptitsefabrika Druzhba", which has been the leader of the entire meat poultry industry of the republic in recent years, OAO "Baranovichskaya Poultry Farm", which is the leader in the republic in egg production, OAO "Agrokombinat Mir", specializing in fattening cattle.
There are 212 historical and cultural monuments on the territory of the Baranovichi district. 110 monuments of the Great Patriotic War, including 66 military cemeteries.
The district has the following: state educational institution "Brest Regional Cadet School", state educational institution "Molchad Sanatorium Boarding School", educational institution "Novomysh State Professional Lyceum of Agricultural Production" (subordination - the main department for education of the Brest Regional Executive Committee).
Today, the Baranovichi District harmoniously combines traditions and modernity, makes a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the region and the republic, does everything to improve the working, living and recreational conditions of people, thanks to which our district becomes more beautiful and richer every year.
