The book was published by the decision of the Scientific Councils of the Institutes of Geography and Folklore named after academician HA Aliyev of ANAS. The scientific editor of the work is the head of the department of the Institute of Geography, Ph.D., associate professor Zaur Imrani.
In his book, the author reveals toponyms related to the primary sources of human history with his different approaches and emphasizes their connection with Azerbaijan. Adam tries to prove on religious and scientific grounds that the toponyms associated with the prophets Noah belong to Azerbaijan. In addition to showing the connection of the areas of toponyms to the world with Azerbaijan, the beginning of the linguistic, philosophical and historical impulse from Azerbaijan is put forward by historical facts. On the other hand, the factors of falsification of ancient toponyms related to Azerbaijan are revealed, the mythological and philosophical meanings of ancient historical names are restored. The connection of many toponyms with the carpet signs, which are considered to be the civilized continuation of the Gobustan rock carvings, the world's first petroglyphs, is logically emphasized.
In conclusion, the author emphasizes the need for historical and philosophical reworking of Azerbaijani toponyms, emphasizing the historical importance of replacing the name Gobustan with the name Gabissan.
