The subject of the research is Lithuanian authoritarianism. The research summarizes the latest studies of Lithuanian historians (Z.Butkus, A.Kasperavicius, C.Laurinavicius, L.Truska) devoted to the change of Lithuania's democratic political regime of 1920-1926 for authoritarianism and the ways and models of its further development. The present research has been accomplished within the framework of international project Authoritarian regimes in Central East and South Europe, 1918-1944, sponsored by Volkswagen Fund.
