The book is dedicated to one of the most interesting phenomena in the history of the world culture - art and architecture of Ancient Egypt. This volume covers the period which is called Middle Kingdom and New kingdom (from the XXIIth to the XIIIth century B.C.). The book ends with short stories about historical events and artistic culture of Egypt during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II (1279-1212 B.C.) - the time of high political and economic power and prosperity of the country.
