The offered book studies the history and architectural heritage of the ancient Georgian town Areshi from the Bronze age till early Middle Ages. Great attention is paid to Basilica - the most monumental construction of the church at the former Areshi site. The author vividly describes the process of the Areshi churches building, their change of design, reconstruction and enlargement, which were strongly connected with military operations, invasions and flourishing of Areshi of that period.
