The work of an important Slovak philosopher PhDr. Teodor Munz, CSc belongs in the field of philosophical anthropology. It deals with the very topical question of whether the end of humanity is approaching due to several factors, such as overpopulation of the planet, threatening climate change, ecological disaster and others. However, the author does not deal with these issues, because he is not an expert in them, but solves problems that have brought man so far that these questions have emerged. The work, written as an essay, is intended for the general public, not just philosophers. It is based on Slovak folk proverbs, on quotations from several Slovak writers who have (had) something to say about the issue. He also quotes Slovak humorists and aphorists who, independently of the author, express in a few words what the author is saying in the text.
