The present collection of works includes new research on architecture and urban planning of Russia. The authors look into the history of the creation of presently little known, but significant constructions, into the development of regional architectural traditions, coming forward with new theories regarding the identification of the architects and uncovering various archive materials. Certain papers are dedicated to the development of architecture and construction of historical towns and cities, and to the formation of their urban ensemble.
