This issue deals with publication of the materials and researches referring to the realization of the scientific project Medieval Pskov by archaeological data. The first volume is dedicated to the memory of G.P.Grozdilov who started his archaeological study of Sredny Gorod in Pskov in 1954. There are four parts in the issue. The first part includes articles dealing with the territory of all the sites as a whole (the history of the researches, late constructions and sphragistic finds). In the second part there are publications of the materials and researches concerning the Old Russian necropolis in Pskov. The third part comprises articles based on methods used in natural sciences. The forth part is a reference guide to the literature.
