The first edition was published in 2012. The second edition is prepared on the basis of materials which are kept in scientific archaeological collections and presented in science-based exposition of the Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus. The unique artefacts which were passed by scholars of the Institute of History and researchers of the educational and cultural institutions to the state and departmental museum expositions of Belarus are included, too. The edition is represented antiquities stored up in the museums of Zaslavl, Nesvizh, Minsk, Orsha, Polotsk, Tolochyn, Vitebsk, Mstislavl, Shklov, Mogilev, Vetka, Turov, Gomel, Pinsk, Grodno.
It is presented the materials which are being introduced resplendence and originality of material culture of Belarus from ancient times and up to the late 18th century. Various aspects of economic activities and everyday life, cultural, spiritual sides of the people who inhabited our country during the different periods are shown, too.
It is intended for scholars, lecturers, research workers and everyone who is interested in studying ot local history.
