The book is a richly decorated deluxe edition in hardcover with gold lettering and silk ribbon. The edition is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Anton Chekhov. It includes selected stories of this great Russian writer written in 1883-1903. The book includes an article by M.P. Gromov revealing the image of a city universal for the Chekhov's prose, detailed comments on stories and a brief chronology of the Chekhov’s life and works. The book contains as well illustrations by the famous St. Petersburg painter and graphic artist Oleg Yakhnin created specially for this edition.
