The monograph by an ethnologist and historian from the Faculty of Arts of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen presents an original view of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia through the prism of propaganda. This played a dual role: it presented its completely binding worldview to the inhabitants of the imposed state entity in a holistic and understandable form and at the same time served to pacify society. The book analyzes the axes of this propaganda: the relationship to Europe and Europeanism, the relationship to Czech history and the liquidation reflex of the Jews. Attention is paid to both propagandistic historiography and pseudo-historiography, and political ethnography, which in certain respects followed the Old Austrian and interwar Sudeten German tradition. In general, it is a text that shows the procedures for liquidating liberal narratives in society.
