This anthology has no strict, rote frameworks. Nor textbook pretensions. It is an inner celebration. A poet's attitude towards poets. A loose collage of works by 24 authors. Each of them has embraced symbolism - the colorful air and spiritual fragrance of the times! - individually: as a personal conviction or merely as a system of expression. That is why I find the coexistence of names of poets belonging and not belonging directly to the current quite natural. Moreover, the Bulgarian version of Symbolism has existed very liberally - even some poets, bound to the ideological programs of the magazine. "Hyperion", have collaborated simultaneously in the magazine. "Zlato Rog, whose editor, as is well known, was a ruthless denier of literary schools. As a compositional principle, I chose the approach of periodically published French and Russian anthologies, including more and different poets. Moreover, presented (as far as possible) more comprehensively, in order to bring out and feel their true intentions and values. Even in the darkest totalitarian years, the Russians launched anthologies even of poets who had been suppressed by the regime, while we, as a "greater" literature, for better or worse, swept away our native artists like autumn leaves. So this anthology is also a kind of call to overcome routine boundaries, sheltering in its pages the excitement of a number of undeservedly suppressed poets.
