The offered report has two main sections: "External Financial Assistance to the Kyrgyz Republic" and "Efforts to Attract Foreign Direct Investment to the Kyrgyz Republic". The first part includes an overview of the 1999 activities of the State Committee to attract and increase the efficiency of external assistance. It also includes a summary of assistance, provided by international financial institutions and donor-countries during the period 1992-1999. The second part includes information about the work of the State Committee on improving the investment climate, in particular, amendments in the legislative acts and regulations, covering the activities of foreign investors and members of free economic zones.
