This stylish gift edition is devoted to the inspirer of Pushkin, "pure beauty", victim of despotic husband, heroine of numerous novels and the author of priceless diaries and memoirs Anna Petrovna Kern (1800-1879). She lived a long life and met the wisest men of her time. She went though wearying desperation of her first marriage and later happiness of the second, poverty and neglect but received an immortal gift from Pushkin – he dedicated his famous lines to her. The book, written by a historian of literature and local historian Vladimir Sysoev, tells about this "heroine of her time" and is based on memoirs, correspondence and archival material. The text is supplemented with numerous illustrations. The book is decorated with gold lettering and ribbon.
