The book is devoted to Dmitry Shepilov (1905-1995), an economist, state and party activist. In 1957 having delivered his speech at the plenary session of the CPSU CC against illiteracy and voluntarism of N.Khrushchev, Shepilov was considered to join the counter-party group, excluded from the party and exiled.
