Antique myths play a key role in the production of texts and images in every imagination of European as well as non-European cultures: they are the largest treasure trove of narratives in cultural anthropology. The book covers the area of Greek and Roman myths and at the same time connects the myths and cultural and anthropological phenomena of the entire old world, in which Balkan links of cultic bases, versions of myths and their reception play an important role as well. Based on the explanation of about two hundred ancient myths - mythological characters, stories and their reception - the author unveils a new approach to the study of mythology, which is also defined by the author as the term "miturgy".
