Jan Comaj (1935-2020) was a Slovak journalist, writer and university teacher. The book is his own life story. It is dominated by three basic facts that shaped him as a man and created his value system: shifts in the historical borders on the Slovak-Hungarian border after 1938 and 1945, lung problems that accompanied him all his life and deprived his mother of his life and the 1960s.
