The CD contains electronic photocopies of pages, which include alphabetical indexes from Address-calendar reference books. It also includes a general list of functionaries and other officials in the Russian Empire in 1889, 1892, 1893, 1894, 1896, 1897. Besides, there are lists of ranks of the court staff, as well as a list of those in State agencies of civil, military and religious departments, educational and charity institutions of Empress Maria’s. Part I includes a list of main ranks in central offices, committees and educational institutions, which are under their control, as well as ranks of the staff in provincial establishments subordinate to central administration. Part II contains the main ranks of officials in provinces, towns and local institutions.
