The monograph examines the main stages of the life of Ales Ulyanov (1901–1937) in connection with the key milestones of the socio-economic, socio-political and cultural development of Soviet Belarus. By depicting the biographical path of a specific person, an attempt is made to show the features of the internal political development of Soviet Belarus, its relations with Poland and Western Belarus.
