The book views retrospectively the history of the Ukrainian-Polish relations and analyzes the causes and consequences of the operation "Vistula" - deportation of the Ukrainian population from its historical places of residence - Lemkovschina, Nadsianne and Holmschina - to the south-western regions of Poland in 1947. The book includes the materials of the Regional Scientific Conference dedicated to the 50th anniversary of "Vistula" operation that was held on May 19, 1997.
