The present book includes stories by the remarkable Russian prose writer Boris Pilnyak “At the Doors”, “Ivan-and-Maria”, “Mother-Land”, “A Story about the Unextinguished Moon” and “The Red Tree”. Pilnyak is the author of the first novel about revolution titled “A Bare Year”. With every new publication of works the author had problems with censorship. This collection includes the most scandalous stories, which reflect the writer’s world outlook which led to his tragic death in 1938.
