This book reveals 29 centuries of winemaking, combining fascinating stories with historical sources: archaeological notes, chronicles, tax records and travel reports. Just as Honore de Balzac, Mark Twain and John Steinbeck wrote about Ukrainian wines, the author shows the evolution of wine without fiction and prejudice. The book won an award from the International Organisation of Vine and Wine
(OIV Award — 2024). The book is based on historical texts and documents, the oldest written mentions of wine, notes from archaeological research and old cookbooks.
